The Legacy Campaign is a bold initiative that will advance McDonogh's distinctive educational experience far into the future. With a historic $90 million fundraising goal, your participation will enable the school to continue its 150-year legacy of academic excellence and access to education.
Campaign Priorities

Middle School
In 2019, the need for a Middle School building to match the high-quality programming in fifth through eighth grade was great. Time was of the essence, and generous donors stepped up to provide the necessary funding to begin construction. The Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Middle School opened in the spring of 2021. The state-of-the-art space pushes the boundaries of innovation and student-centered learning and meets the needs of a modern McDonogh education.
Learn moreEndowment
Our endowment is a perpetual source of income that allows us to preserve the McDonogh we know while fueling the McDonogh we know we can be. We must ensure our long-term sustainability so we can continue supporting scholarship, faculty salaries and benefits, programmatic growth, campus preservation, curriculum expansion, and staff professional development. In order to continue offering students everything that makes the educational experience at McDonogh unparalleled, it is imperative we increase our endowment. View Naming Opportunities

McDonogh Fund
The McDonogh Fund allows our teachers and administrators to dream big and innovate, and it also provides countless opportunities for our students to experiment, grow, and excel. Each gift to the McDonogh Fund is an investment in the school’s mission and the important work of educating the next generation. The collective impact of these gifts is remarkable.

There is a role for all of us to play. Invest in the future of McDonogh today.

I wanted to acknowledge a select group of teachers who have the potential to dramatically alter the life trajectory of future generations. I owe much of my academic achievements and professional success to a handful of committed and gifted instructors. It is my hope that funding a Distinguished Teaching Chair sustains McDonogh’s mission of educating students to be LifeReady.
